when it rains beavers, it pours…

is it odd that i recently wrote about my encounter with a beaver, and in that account, alluded to a past encounter with a beaver, and THEN, having taken my car in yet again due a mysterious noise, a beaver saves my car?

a couple months ago i made the mistake of driving without my (very loud) music playing and i heard a whistling noise that i had never heard before. i took my car in and said “fix it”. they did not hear the noise, but sure enough, when i picked up the car, i’ve not heard the whistling noise since. that’s probably because the whistling noise became a grinding noise. afraid that they might think i’m hearing things, i debated that maybe i was and that maybe i should just turn the music back up. but i could not ignore this sound that my car should not be making.

so i take it in today and my service advisor whose name is–and i kid you not–Beaver Ho, started our meeting with “so you hear a noise?” YES! YES I HEAR NOISE AND I’M NOT HEARING THINGS I KNOW THE LAST TIME I BROUGHT IT IN ABOUT A NOISE YOU ALL LAUGHED AND SAID BITCH BE CRAZY BUT I HEAR SOMETHING AND IT’S NOT SOMETHING A CAR SHOULD MAKE!!!!! and i think it has to do with the air conditioner because when i hear the noise, but turn off the AC, the noise is…quieter. still there. but quieter.

so i get a call from Beaver this afternoon and i was CORRECT! there was an air intake valve that had loosened and was vibrating and created the (at first, whistling) grinding sound! so just as i was thinking that a beaver might attack my favorite pet, another Beaver totally saved the life of my second favorite pet!

you go Beaver Ho!
