so i met my parents for lunch today.  let me correct that, i brought them lunch.  after listening to my father tell me everything he didn’t want from quiznos (and why they have a quiznos menu at home, i don’t know), i picked up some subs and headed on down to chez papa and mama henry’s.  and my dad is kind of in an early retirement and my mom is not used to having him around and they are driving each other crazy.  then my dad told me about his upcoming colonoscopy.  while we were eating.  and i’m like, obviously, i want to know if either of them has upcoming time in the hospital…but during lunch?  can’t it wait?

so then i get home and i get this email from my sister (lil cord’s mom):

“Awe…thanks!!! You would be so proud of Cord…he downloaded some songs to his iPod…Brittany Spears, Pussy Cat Dolls and Lady Gaga”

and all i can say is “uh oh”

it’s not unlike me begging my mom for cassettes from madonna, cyndi lauper and the pointer sisters when i was his age. at least we have something in common that we can talk about.
