i in no way condone the violence exhibited by chris brown.  unless she came at him with a bic lady razor from the bottom of her purse that night, nothing rihanna could have done warrents physical violence.  that being said, i’m wondering about the argument leading up to the violence and, this might be in poor taste–but a lot of my humor is in very poor taste, how many of her own song titles and lyrics rihanna may have said during the argument:

“shut up and drive”
“SOS please somebody help me…”
“please don’t stop the music” (perhaps when beatdown brown turned down the volume so they could uh, discuss things)
“i’ma fight a man tonight” (from Breakin’ Dishes)
“break it off” (as in I’ma break it off! you know, like his tenders)
“emergency room”
“if i never see your face again”
“push up on me” (as in DON’T)
“there’s a thug in my life”
“you make me sick”
“rumors”
“now i know”
“my name is rihanna” (you know, maybe he called her the wrong name)
“hate that i love you”
“bitch i’m special” (my personal fave)
