10 reasons i will not join facebook
10. i’d rather network socially than join a social network
9. i think sending out facebook only invitations to birthdays etc is in poor taste and comes across as very rude
8. i don’t care what Kai is doing right now.
7. i’m still in touch with all the people from high school i care to be in touch with.
6. facebook is not a verb
5. i read somewhere it’s cooler to NOT be on facebook
4. i don’t need to be reminded that somehow via the internet i’m still connected to people i don’t care to be connected to anymore.
3. if i know everything that you’re doing/feeling/saying/reading/watching/thinking every half hour, i either won’t have anything to talk to you about in person or won’t care to talk to you about anything in person. either way there’s really no reason for me to maintain the friendship.
2. i actually like asking people “how are you?”, “how was your day?” and “what’s new?” without having already read the answer somewhere.
1. let’s be honest, it’s basically a blog for lazy people. and something newer will come along and like lemmings over a cliff, everyone will move on in due time. just ask the people over there at friendster and myspace. and the more people tell me i should do something, the more likely i wouldn’t be their friend on facebook.

Truth, every word. Wherever I go I hear people talking about this site… it’s so ubiquitous it’s a turn-off, just like that godawful lowest common denominator X Factor program.
I prefer Twitter. You give only snippets of your life as posts, so you’ll still have plenty to discuss with actual real-life friends. In fact you might have more to say, depending on how interesting the “tweets” are.

I am suspicious of anything giving aways something for free. Facebook is no exception. They must be getting something out of this, or what is the purpose? That is why I will not join. There is something sneaky about it.

I refuse to join Facebook as well. I think it’s a huge waste of time, and poses a huge security risk especially if you publish personal information.
I don’t need my life being made public. I believe it’s information that can only hurt you.

facebook, bleh
if the guys in government stopped by your house and started grilling you for personal info you probably wouldn’t cooperate.
but if they made a website like facebook where you foolishly volunteered all this info they’d know all they needed to know about you
genius!
